Go For the Gold Results- July 8th, 2009 in Douro


We had 8 teams of 4 members - of these 32 members 19 of them were Junior members - compete in the 2009 Go For the Gold.
 
Each team played a round robin of 2 games each. Top 4 teams were North Beef team 1 - Norwood dairy team 1 - Otonabee dairy - and Norwood dairy team 2.
 
These teams played semi final games with Norwood Dairy team 1 - members Cameron Stockdale, Adam Vanderhorst, Brett Stockdale and Ryan Crowley and North beef team 1 - members Clara Leahy, Joanna O'Grady, and Angela O' Grady- playing each other in the final game.
 
Winning team was North Beef team 1 with a score of 140 to 90. Other teams that played were Norwood field crops, Ennismore Beef, Norwood Goat, and North Beef team 2. 

East Central Junior Show- July 6 & 7, 2009 at Orono Fairgounds

 

We had 8 members attend the junior show- Luke Zufelt, Cameron Stockdale, Brett Stockdale, kyle stockdale, Vanessa Crowely, Jesse Dafoe, Evan Stanley and Corey Stockdale

 

Results were as follows:

 

Showmanship

Juniors - Brett Stockdale - was reserve junior showperson

Seniors - Vanessa Crowely was grand senior showperson

                - Evan Stanley was 6th in senior showmanship

                - Kyle Stockdale was 7th in senior showmanship

 

Vanessa Crowley was the overall champion showperson for the day...

Junior calf class - Vanessa Crowley was 1st

                         - brett stockdale was 10th

 

intermediate calf class - Cameron Stockdale was 6th

 

senior calf class - Kyle Stockdale was 3rd

 

Yearling calf class - Evan stanley was 1st
